Please indicate which TNF biologic drug the patient is receiving on the request form.
Drug levels of the following TNF Biologics can be measured:
Adalimumab/Amgevita (Humira), Infliximab (Remicade)
Anti-drug antibodies are measured when drug levels are low (<2mg/L)
Other biologic drugs can also be measured as research assays e.g. ustekinumab, vedolizumab, natalizumab. Please indicate the monoclonal antibody drug on the request form and whether anti-drug antibodies or target antigen concentrations are required.
Drug and anti-drug antibodies to Etanercept (Embrel) are not available.
Immunology
TNF
Serum samples should be taken from patients receiving TNF Biologics for at least 10 weeks. Samples should be taken at drug trough, within the 24 hours prior to a dose.
Register as TNF; Immunology will identify which specific drug to test.
