Appointments are typically not required for most services provided at Canterbury Health Laboratories and Canterbury Southern Community Laboratories collection centres.
However, for some of the more specialised services, an appointment may required (as outlined in the table below):

Patients with GP forms requiring fungal scrapings can attend their closest Canterbury SCL collection centre – no appointment necessary.
Swab collections (including naso-pharyngeal swabs) should be undertaken by a GP or nurse at your medical practice to improve the patient journey. If this is not possible, please contact Canterbury SCL on 03 359 0900.
