30 mL and 90 mL double strength, vaccine topped Tryptase Soy broths are issued to Pharmacy, Christchurch Hospital. (They use this media to write their preparation and dispensing of solutions in their sterile area). This is to validate their process for their accreditation, according to Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services. 3rd ed, Beaney AM Pharmaceutical Press 2001.

Test Method

After receipt in Micro, Products One and Two are incubated at 30°C.

Products Three and Four, each have two syringes incubated at 30°C. Each have two syringes incubated at room temperature and one each at 36°C.

The products are visually checked for 14 days for any growth. Results are data entered on PHVA format, authorised and report then printed.
