Diagnostic Use

When investigating adult patients for possible Phaeochromocytoma, the preferred tests are either plasma or urinary (nor)metanephrines. Where urine catecholamines are requested, only urinary (nor)metanephrines will be analysed, unless explicitly discussed with the laboratory.
