Interpretation
Negative = No immunity to Mumps
Equivocal = Immunity Uncertain
Positive = The presence of Mumps IgG indicates an antibody response to either wild-type
virus or vaccine virus.
As outlined by CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/mumps/lab/overview-serology.html), the
presence of mumps-specific IgG does not necessarily predict the presence of
neutralising antibodies or protection from mumps disease.
