Diagnostic Use

This test is intended to be used to detect antibodies to insulin that may be useful when investigating causes of hypoglycaemia. Free insulin is calculated by measuring insulin pre and post PEG extraction.

It is not intended for the detection of insulin autoantibodies (IA2, GAD, ZNT8) which may be helpful in the diagnosis of T1DM.
