Interpretation
Heinz bodies represent the end-product of haemoglobin degradation, and are usually a sign on chemical poisoning or drug intoxication, G6PD deficiency, or an unstable haemoglobin.

0 = none seen
1 = small numbers seen
2 = moderate numbers seen
3 = numerous seen
