This is not a valid measure of Vitamin D stores.

1, 25 Vitamin D (the active metabolite of 25 OH2 - Vitamin D) may be elevated in patients with granulomatous disease and hypercalcaemia.
This test is indicated in patients with hypercalcaemia of unknown cause and suppression parathyroid hormone. All requests must be authorised by a Chemical Pathologist prior to testing.
