The CHL paediatric pathology service is the in-house pathology provider for the Christchurch Hospital Children’s Haematology Oncology Centre (CHOC). We provide a comprehensive anatomical pathology service for paediatric cancer specimens from the South Island and lower North Island, and participate in the weekly Paediatric Oncology Multidisciplinary Meeting where local and referred pathology specimens are reviewed. We also provide support for clinical trials that CHOC participates in.
Support is also provided for non-cancer paediatric pathology samples, including paediatric surgery and gastroenterology. For perinatal pathology, please refer to the Perinatal Pathology page.
