West Coast: If specimen is unable to be separated, take blood on SST/PST and send chilled to Greymouth Lab. At Greymouth lab freeze serum/plasma for transport to CHL.

2.Detection limit of this Roche assay is 18.4 pmol/L
3.Refer to the laboratory in the event of any clinical discordance or uncertainty

Reference Intervals

Female:
Pre-menopausal: follicular 100-570, luteal 120-1100 pmol/L
Post-menopausal: <180 pmol/L
Ranges exclude OC and HRT. OC tends to lower estradiol levels.

Male: <190 pmol/L.
