Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) is a Te Whatu Ora Pathology service provider in New Zealand.
As one of two reference laboratories within New Zealand, we work collaboratively with a wide variety of partners across Health and other sectors locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Pathology is a significant medical specialty, and pathology services are an integral part of any patient journey. Our place in this journey ranges from providing critical information to clinical partners for diagnosis, treatment or monitoring to participation in research to shape the future delivery of health services.
At Canterbury Health Laboratories our clinical pathologists are supported by an extensive team of scientists, scientific officers, technicians, phlebotomists and support staff, working collaboratively with our colleagues in the wider system to deliver health care to our communities together through our wide range of routine and specialist pathology services.
