Uncertainty of Measurement:
S. pneumoniae vaccine may cause a false positive up to six days after vaccination.
A negative result does not exclude S. pneumoniae or Legionella infection.
This test has not been validated to use for samples from children under 7 years.
This test should be used in conjunction with culture of respiratory specimens, PCR, serology testing and clinical findings in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
